Vita Sciences Maxasorb Melatonin Cream Review #MaxasorbMelatonin
The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, estimate that around 40 million people in the U.S. have chronic long-term sleep disorders each year and another 20 million people are affected by occasional trouble sleeping. Lack of a good night's sleep is so prevalent in this country, that the CDC (Center For Disease Control and Prevention) calls it a "public health epidemic." Lack of sleep can affect many aspects of your life including: Concentration, memorization, driving and working. It can even affect your desire to engage in hobbies or even keep you from taking care of your financial responsibilities. Really! I am not making this up, you can find the original article here.
I have trouble sleeping myself and over the years have found that using traditional sleeping pills tend to make me feel run down and groggy the next morning. I have since found that using natural remedies are much better for me. However, they aren't always convenient such as Valerian root, a root plant that has been used for centuries for it's natural sedative effects. It works beautifully but smells really horrible, taste really horrible, come in big hard to swallow "horse pills," and you have to take like five of them. Kinda hard to swallow, pun totally intended!
Melatonin is the hormone that controls daily day-night cycles of sleep. Honestly it has been a hit or miss for me, sometimes I would take it and fall asleep right away, other times I would take it, fall asleep and awaken fully alert two hours later. Lack of melatonin has been blamed for some sleep disorders because as we age our bodies do not make enough melatonin. It has also been known to help jet-lagged travelers and shift workers fall into a more natural cycle of sleep.
I have to be honest, when I first saw Maxasorb Melatonin, I have to say I had my doubts, because it absorbs through your skin. No pills to swallow! Maxabsorb claims that when used as directed it is safe, helps decrease the time needed to fall asleep, increases sleepiness and helps to increase sleep duration. Maxasorb Melatonin is infused with antioxidants and moisturizers, and this grease-less cream is easily absorbed into your skin. Each 1.7 ounce bottle delivers 60 applications with 3 milligrams of melatonin with a full press of the pump, and is hypoallergenic. The scent-free lotion is gentle on the skin and contains all natural ingredients.
So the first time I used it, I used a full dose from the easy pump bottle, which was a lot. I slathered on the underside of my wrists, then just continued to rub it in until it was gone. Then I went to bed. I laid there for a few minutes and before I could think: "This stuff doesn't ...." I fell asleep and slept well until the next morning. I woke up feeling refreshed with no grogginess. I actually had a great night's sleep! I thought it was a fluke, but had my husband use some one night when he was tossing and turning. A few minutes later he was able to sleep soundly.
I am not by any means going to claim that Maxasorb Melatonin is a miracle product, but it works for me and The Hubby. I would like to see this product come in a kid's dosage because I have two kids that have trouble falling asleep. But I have to give this product a solid 5 stars!
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinions. My opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.
