Today's Lesson: Veterans Day

Every November 11th we honor the brave men and women who have served our country.  Government buildings and schools are closed, and so I think it's a great idea to teach our children, why we have this holiday.

Make a Patriotic Star with streamers- I used this as a star template or just make up your own.
Simply glue on some blue and red paper strips!  Write on the star a word that describes your favorite Veteran (bravery, courage, strength, etc..) and give it to them as a gift.  If you have it add a small picture of them in uniform on the star as well!
